December 16, 2025 -- Atturra has announced a strategic partnership with Comtrac, a Brisbane-headquartered company trusted globally by law enforcement, government agencies, and businesses as a leading investigations and digital brief of evidence platform, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency across diverse industries.
Under the new partnership, Atturra will become a reseller and implementation partner for Comtrac and establish a shared services model hosting its software enabling clients to seamlessly adopt the Comtrac platform while leveraging Atturra’s extensive systems integration, analytics, change management, and training capabilities to improve the quality of investigations and enforcement outcomes.
By combining Atturra’s deep industry footprint across all levels of Australian government with Comtrac’s proven investigative technology, the collaboration will deliver a modernised, AI-enabled approach to investigation management at a time when agencies face escalating caseloads and administrative burdens, rising complexity, and increasing scrutiny around compliance and governance.
This partnership also strengthens Atturra’s growing applications business and expands its regulatory, safety, and compliance technology ecosystem alongside existing vendor partners, including Nuix and SafetyCulture, which also partner with Comtrac.
Transforming Investigations Through AI-Driven Evidence Management
The Comtrac platform streamlines investigations and the process of creating consistent, court-ready briefs of evidence and high-quality investigation reports. It automates evidence analysis, maps exhibits to key offence elements, and rapidly produces court-ready briefs of evidence and legal forms or applications (e.g. enforceable undertakings, domestic violence orders, warrant applications, etc.)—activities that traditionally require substantial manual administrative effort and are difficult to scale.
In brief
Atturra says it has entered a partnership with Brisbane-based Comtrac, under which Atturra will resell and implement Comtrac’s investigation and digital evidence platform. The companies also plan a shared-services model to host the software. Atturra will add systems integration, analytics, change management and training support, with the stated aim of helping government and regulatory agencies adopt the platform alongside their existing systems. Comtrac’s tools automate evidence analysis and preparation of investigation reports and court briefs. The release says this could reduce work taking months to days and allow one investigator to produce work equivalent to a four-person team. The companies say the collaboration will support AI-enabled investigative workflows and help agencies address administrative workloads and growing caseloads.

Traditional case management tools, including manual spreadsheets, focus on administrative record-keeping rather than investigative workflow. Often fragmented, they manage information but do little to improve investigative effectiveness, creating a mismatch with the complex, exploratory nature of investigations. Comtrac complements existing case and records management systems, reducing administrative burdens, backlogs, and time spent preparing evidence. By automating briefs of evidence and investigation reports, Comtrac reduces months of work to days and multiplies team productivity—allowing a single investigator to achieve the output of a four-person team.
By working together, Atturra and Comtrac will enable agencies to modernise investigative practice using AI-driven evidence assessment, improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of briefs of evidence, reduce administrative overhead and rework associated with traditional systems, while increasing frontline investigative capacity—helping teams manage rising caseloads effectively, even when attrition is a challenge.
In addition, clients will benefit from support with secure, auditable, and defensible case preparation for court investigative workflows with existing compliance, records, and analytics systems.
“We are thrilled to partner with Comtrac to further enhance our client offerings,” said Alastair Brooke, Atturra’s Safety Solutions Practice Director. “With regulatory and compliance requirements increasing across industries, the need for secure AI and modern digital collaboration has never been greater. By leveraging Comtrac’s industry-leading technology, we aim to transform the investigative case management industry sector.”
Atturra’s delivery capability, including its focus on professional services, will enable clients to deploy Comtrac more effectively, ensuring the platform integrates with existing systems, data platforms, and governance frameworks—a common barrier for agencies adopting next-generation investigation tools.
Craig Doran, Founder and CEO of Comtrac, said, “We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration presents, including our capability now to become a parter of choice for all levels of government, including local councils, where Atturra is an ideal strategic fit with its tremendous footprint in this market.
By working with Atturra we’ll be able to reinforce our ability to service markets at scale with investigations in areas such as criminal conduct, environmental crime and biosecurity, fraud and financial crime, health and safety breaches, corruption and misconduct. Our aim is to remain the trusted solution for investigation and digital brief of evidence management and in leveraging Atturra’s capabilities we’ll be able to accelerate the adoption of our software and enable our clients to achieve maximum benefits from our innovative solutions.”
