August 1, 2024 -- JD Logistics, also known as Jingdong Logistics or JDL, secured second place on the list of the top 10 strongest logistics brands worldwide, according to the Logistics 25 2024 report released by Brand Finance, an independent brand valuation consultancy.

Brand Finance’s analysis shows a 1% increase in JD Logistics’ brand value, now estimated at USD $3.5 billion. The company also upgraded its brand strength rating from AA+ to AAA, achieving an 85.2 out of 100 on the Brand Strength Index.

Currently, JD Logistics operates a logistics network of over 1,600 warehouses and 350,000 in-house delivery personnel. Its expansive service network spans China and extends globally, with around 90 bonded, direct mail, and overseas warehouses across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. This network supports a diverse clientele, including notable companies like Hunkemöller, Biedronka, MW Logistics, and more.

Last December, JD Logistics expanded its global services by introducing an international express delivery service, now a trusted option for a wide range of items, from documents to apparel, to major destinations including the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.

Continuously at the forefront of technological innovation, JD Logistics has enhanced its digital capabilities within the supply chain logistics sector by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, AI, and big data. These advancements have facilitated the development of intelligent solutions, including automated warehouses and autonomous delivery vehicles, thereby fostering a digitally agile operation of the supply chain open for collaboration with industrial partners. Its partnership with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) aims to transform logistics and supply chain management throughout the MENA region through in-depth cooperation in intelligent logistics and digital supply chain solutions.

JD Logistics is also committed to sustainability, leading the way in establishing a green supply chain. Through initiatives like the “Green Stream Initiative,” which has drawn participation from over 300,000 enterprises and millions of consumers, JD Logistics is making significant strides in reducing its environmental impact. The company’s initiatives include deploying new energy vehicles throughout China and actively implementing battery swapping and hydrogen-powered technologies. With the ambitious goal of achieving 100% new energy logistics transportation by 2030, JD Logistics has already reduced carbon emissions by approximately 69,515 tons by the end of 2023 through its “Delivered with Original Package” (DWOP) program in collaboration with suppliers and brands.
