Grand Plaza will celebrate 30 years since it first opened this October and to celebrate, the centre is offering customers the chance to win a share of over $60,000 in prizes.

Developed in response to the rapid growth of the Browns Plains region, Grand Plaza opened in 1994 with its signature fountain, live palm trees, and bright, open central atrium, quickly establishing it as a local favourite.

The centre further cemented its position as the go-to retail destination of Logan in 2006 with the completion of a $55 million development that added Kmart, Aldi, new specialty stores, and a new multi-deck car park, to offer the unparalleled convenience of six major retailers under one roof to the local community.

In more recent years, Grand Plaza has trialled new technology in the form of drone deliveries, being the first in the world to pilot this service from a shopping centre roof top, and developed deep connections in the community with a number of community-driven initiatives.

Grand Plaza Centre Manager, Martine Coorey said the centre has grown into a meaningful place where the whole community can connect, with eight million visitors each year enjoying a broad selection of retailers.

“More importantly, the centre plays an active role in the community, from our YOUth Matters program in collaboration with yourtown to partnerships with Queensland Police, Logan City Council, and Kidsafe Queensland on community safety initiatives, we’ve always focused on making a positive impact.

“Next month we celebrate 30 years in the community, presenting customers the opportunity to win a share of over $60,000 in prizes.”

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Grand Plaza is offering customers the chance to win a share of $60,400 in prizes, including a Sunshine Trail 15ft Hybrid Caravan valued at $56,900. To enter, customers need to spend $59 or more in a single transaction at any participating retailer and sign-up online. The competition closes at 11:59 p.m. on 06 October 2024.
