Bangkok, November 18, 2024 -- Thai Union's initiative on the Shrimp Decarbonization Project convinced the judges with its focus on strengthening economic resilience for local farmers and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in shrimp farming by integrating solar energy and producing low-carbon shrimp products through the Group’s global SeaChange® 2030 sustainability strategy. The efforts contribute towards achieving 10 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Thai Union Group, represented by Mr. Adam Brennan, Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer, won the prestigious Thai Development Award for their initiative on the Shrimp Decarbonization Project at the 2024 AMCHAM Corporate Social Impact Awards. Dr. Nalinee Taveesin, Thai Trade Representative, presented the prize. The award acknowledges projects that enhance climate resilience and promote sustainability in response to climate change challenges while displaying exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to sustainable practices.
