-- SWIFT HAULAGE BERHAD (“Swift” or “Group”), Malaysia’s largest haulier and leading integrated logistics service provider, announced the official launch of its Eco-Friendly Warehouse and Haulage office in Westport, and the signing of an Integrated Logistics Services Agreement with Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the provision of warehousing, storage, and handling services.

Swift recognises the critical importance of warehousing as a key business vertical that complements and enhances their logistics service offerings. Underpinning its integrated logistics approach, Swift has and continues to strategically expand its footprint across the Northern, Central, and Southern Regions of Malaysia, which currently has approximately 1.6 million square feet of combined warehousing space.
Swift’s new warehouse is strategically located just 5.5 kilometres from Westport, 25 kilometres from Northport Industrial Park, and 74 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, boasting unparalleled connectivity to major ports, ensuring the efficient and seamless transportation of goods.
Featuring a warehouse capacity of 269,000 square feet and 26 loading bays, the new facility is equipped to handle the most demanding logistics needs of clients. With a storage capacity of 11,544 pallets and a floor storage capacity of 169,000 square feet, ample space is provided for the storage and distribution of goods.
Most notably, the new eco-friendly warehouse has been certified by Green Business Certification Inc. by World Bank Group, attesting to Swift’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The warehouse has achieved significant milestones in energy conservation, with a remarkable 100% reduction in energy consumption, and water conservation, achieving savings of 49%. Moreover, materials with 23% less embodied carbon have been utilized in its construction.
The new warehouse is fully equipped with solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems that will allow Swift to apply for green certifications. This is in line with Swift’s sustainability goals and the newly launched Green Logistics Division. These eco-friendly features not only reduce the Group’s carbon footprint but also cater to the needs and support the sustainability goals of its clients.
Additionally, Swift is also launching a new haulage office, covering an area of 8,000 square feet, complemented by a workshop spanning over 10,000 square feet which will features 10 bays dedicated to prime mover repair and maintenance and a bay for tyre maintenance services. This state-of-the-art maintenance facility ensures that Swift’s fleet remains in top condition, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of its logistics operations.
Swift’s haulage division serves as the backbone of the Group, providing the essential infrastructure necessary for the company’s extensive reach and enviable position in the industry. The westport haulage division has been in operations since 2016 and consistently executes over 6,000 containers a month, has a staging capacity of 400 TEUs equipped with two (2) laden stacker, and serves more than 100 clients from a diverse group of industries.
