-- SWIFT HAULAGE BERHAD (“Swift” or “Group”), Malaysia’s largest haulier and leading integrated logistics service provider, announced today that its associate company, Hypercold Logistics Sdn Bhd (“Hypercold”), launched the largest cold chain hub in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Hypercold’s cold chain hub was launched in an official ceremony that was officiated by Yang Berhormat, Phoong Jin Zhe, Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship of Sabah. The event was also attended by representatives from Swift Haulage Berhad, Tasco Berhad and Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development.
The hub is strategically located in Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, a mere 10KM from Sepanggar Port, 24KM from KK Downtown, and 28.5KM from KK International Airport. The hub will serve a wide coverage area, including Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Tawau, Labuan, Beaufort, Sipitang, Tenom, Keningau, and Kudat.
When the expansion is fully completed in November 2023, the hub will have a capacity of 6,389 pallets – making it the largest in Sabah. The expansion in capacity will also be supported by a fleet of temperature-controlled trucks that will be fully equipped with GPS and temperature tracking that are capable of providing cross-border services.
Hypercold Logistics Sdn Bhd
Hypercold Logistics Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 2006 and commenced operation in April 2011, with 2,889 pallets of cold room facilities.
The Company is 50:50 owned by Tasco Yusen Gold Cold Sdn Bhd (a 70%-subsidiary of TASCO Berhad) and Swift Integrated Logistics Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swift Haulage Berhad).
Hypercold is involved in the provision of cold chain-related logistics, warehouse storage and transportation of goods. Its cold chain warehouse is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
