-- Suria Capital Holdings Berhad and its subsidiaries, collectively SuriaGroup, is proud to announce its recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) engagement, demonstrating its commitment to making a positive impact on local communities. The Group donated food baskets, grass-cutting equipment and solar spotlights to ‘Rumah Anak Yatim & Asnaf, Kampung Silad’ as well as ‘Rumah Kanakkanak Don Bosco Kampung Bundu Tuhan’ in Ranau, enhancing their quality of life and sustainability.
In conjunction with ‘Universal Children’s Week’, the Group identified the orphanage and Tahfiz school as deserving recipients of this CSR initiative, with the aim of not only providing immediate assistance to them but also to contribute to their long-term development and welfare.
The Group's dedication towards addressing food scarcity at the two locations resulted in the donation of multiple food baskets from Bataras to both the orphanage and school. These baskets include essential food items such as grains, cooking oil, canned goods, and other perishable and non-perishable necessities.
Furthermore, recognising the importance of maintaining a conducive learning environment, SuriaGroup extended its support by donating grass-cutting equipment to both schools. By ensuring well-maintained premises, the schools can provide a comfortable and safe space for their students to study and excel academically.
Additionally, the company acknowledges the significance of embracing sustainable practices for a better future. In line with this commitment, SuriaGroup further presented the Tahfiz school with solar spotlights to harness renewable energy. This eco-friendly solution was not meant to only reduce the school's expenditure on electricity but also contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
Group Managing Director Datuk Ng Kiat Min explained, "At Suria, we firmly believe in giving back to society and making a positive difference wherever we operate. Our recent engagement with the orphanage and Tahfiz school reflects our commitment to supporting educational institutions and addressing societal challenges. We are privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to their well-being and development."
By actively participating in such CSR initiatives, SuriaGroup strives to inspire other organisations and individuals to join hands in creating a more inclusive and sustainable society.
