In brief
Suntory Holdings says CDP has named it a 2023 Supplier Engagement Leader, recognizing its work with supply-chain stakeholders on climate issues. The designation is based on CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating, which assesses governance, climate targets, value-chain emissions and engagement strategies, as well as a company’s climate score. Suntory says this is the fourth consecutive year the group has received the recognition. It also reports consecutive placements on CDP’s Climate Change and Water Security A-lists. The company’s stated climate goals include reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain by 2050 and reducing emissions by 2030 against a 2019 baseline. Suntory says CDP cited its efforts to collect emissions information from value-chain partners and work with them to cut emissions.
