SINGAPORE, February 17, 2025 -- Mainboard-listed SIA Engineering Company Limited (“SIAEC”) and Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd (“CAIC”) have incorporated a joint venture company, TIA Engineering Services Company Limited, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (the “JV”). SIAEC holds a 51% equity stake in the JV and CAIC holds the remaining 49%. The issued and paid-up share capital of the JV is USD5 million.

This follows SIAEC’s announcement on 30 May 2023 of the signing of a definitive agreement to form a line maintenance joint venture to provide line maintenance services at the new international airport in Phnom Penh named Techo International Airport (“TIA”).

The JV will complement SIAEC’s existing network of Line Maintenance International (“LMI”) stations. Through SIAEC’s engineering capabilities and operations know-how from its LMI network, the JV aims to develop into an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul hub in TIA.

With the addition of the JV, SIAEC now has a comprehensive portfolio of 25 subsidiaries and joint ventures with leading original equipment manufacturers and other strategic partners across nine countries.

The incorporation of the JV is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets per share or the earnings per share of the SIAEC Group for the financial year ending 31 March 2025. None of the Directors and controlling shareholders of SIAEC has any interest, direct or indirect, in the incorporation of the JV, other than through their shareholdings (if any) in SIAEC.
