(SPSB), a wholly owned subsidiary of Suria Capital Holdings Bhd, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) Award for large employers’ category for Sabah Region and has earned recognition as the pioneer winner of the national 'HR Team of the Year' Excellence Awards.
These accolades underscore SuriaGroup’s dedication to fostering an employeecentric environment, focusing on human capital empowerment to drive business excellence and cultivating a high engagement culture that prioritises continuous improvement and employee satisfaction.

Contenders for the HRD Corp awards in the Sabah Region who have been shortlisted includes Petronas Chemical Methanol Sdn. Bhd. and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited. Whilst in the 'HR Team of the Year' category, Northport (Malaysia) Berhad and Pos Malaysia Berhad were nominated.

Presented during the HRD Awards 2023 gala dinner, SPSB received the awards from the Minister of Human Resources, YB Tuan V. Sivakumar and Deputy Minister of Human Resources, YB Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud. Gracing the event was Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Plantation and Commodity, YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof.
According to organiser HRD Corp, an agency under the Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia, 44 winners emerged across three categories, covering businesses, individuals, trainers and training providers.
The evaluating panel included HRD Corp’s senior leadership members and industry representatives from Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), SIRIM Berhad, National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and TalentCorp.
