September 30, 2024 -- The NACGSA honours exemplary corporate governance and sustainability based on a more comprehensive methodology endorsed by the Securities Commission Malaysia, replacing the former MSWG-ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards held since 2009. The award framework integrates three key assessments, namely the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard, the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance and the Sustainability assessment developed by Bursa Malaysia and MSWG. A key outcome from this edition was the ranking of Top 50 PLCs which scored an impressive 84% on average, setting a new benchmark for best practices among Malaysian PLCs to raise their standards continually.
