-- IOI Corporation Bhd (IOI) announced the appointment of Mr Tan Kean Hua as our new Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective today.

Mr Tan has been a key member of our company since 2004. He had previously been the Executive Director of IOI Oleochemical Industries Bhd located in Prai, Penang since 2011 and has made major contributions to our growth and success.
His leadership extends beyond our organisation, as evidenced by his past chairmanships of the ASEAN Oleochemical Manufacturers Group (AOMG) and Malaysian Oleochemical Manufacturers Group (MOMG), and his role as a board member of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
In his new capacity as Deputy Group CEO, Mr Tan will oversee all resource-based manufacturing activities within the Group including oleochemials, refineries, palm wood, Bunge Loders and joint ventures for paper pulp.
Mr Tan holds a Master's in Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Bath-Malaysian Institute of Management. He is also a Chartered Chemical Engineer (Fellow) by the Institution of Chemical Engineers, United Kingdom, as well as qualified as a Chartered Engineer by the Engineering Council of the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining IOI Group in 2004, Mr Tan had held a senior marketing position in an oleochemicals multinational company.
