Kuala Lumpur, the bustling capital of Malaysia, welcomes visitors with its distinctive skyline, rich cultural heritage, and a blend of modernity and tradition. It serves as the gateway to Southeast Asia, offering convenient connections to multiple destinations in the region.
Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Capital A Chairman said: “This is an exciting new chapter for AAX as we expand our network in a new market for the first time after 16 years since our inception, connecting Almaty and Kuala Lumpur. We are proud to be the first Malaysian airline to fly to Kazakhstan. As our first foray into Central Asia, the expansion into the Kazakhstan market is a strong testament to our vision and determination to explore new territories as well as resume services to our most popular destinations post-pandemic. The move to introduce direct flights to Almaty is expected to foster significant trade, commerce and education interchange, and more employment opportunities considering Kazakhstan's status as the wealthiest country in Central Asia.
